"About eight years before their wedding date, Carley decided to go with a friend to her boyfriend's apartment, and meet some of his friends. She had no idea that the casual night of card games and more would decide the rest of her life. There, she met Dominic. They were friendly, but nothing more, and she left the apartment with a couple more friends to her name. At the time (November 2010), Dom was a junior at Carroll University, and Carley was a freshman at UW-Waukesha. After their mutual friends broke off their relationship, Carley and Dom decided they would like to continue their friendship. They had no idea what was coming next! Time and time again, circumstances kept them apart physically, but they kept loving and supporting each other through it all. Whatever time they could spend together, they made sure to do so and truly valued that time. Not every couple can make it through the challenges that Dom and Carley have faced, but they managed to let their love and strength and choice for one another help them rise above it all. Dom pulled over to a spot by the Fox River, got down on one knee, and asked Carley to spend her life with him. Carley was all tears and joy when she said YES!"
